Nine Nigerian students have been reportedly kidnapped in the
Ukrainian city of Lugansk, according to a statement by the representative of
the National Security and Defence Council Information Centre, Andrey Lysenko.
The statement added that the students are being held in a seized building of
the SBU.
It said further that relatives of the kidnapped students had
been making efforts to address a press conference at the Nigerian Embassy in
Ukraine.
He added that negotiations have been underway to free the nine students allegedly taken captive by separatists in the eastern city of Luhansk.

Lysenko told a news conference yesterday that people with
experience were conducting negotiations and contact with “the
terrorists.”
He added that Ukraine hoped that the talks would end “successfully in the near future.”
