The
Adamawa State police command on Friday paraded a pregnant women, 21 year
old Mrs Chinwendu Mbogu who stole a one day old baby from Mayo-Belwa
cottage hospital in Adamawa
and took the baby to Aba in Abia State.
The
Commissioner of Police in the state, John Abakasanga while parading the
woman alongside other suspects in Yola, said Mbogu conspired with one
Friday Ugochuku to steal the baby to Abia state.
He
said the suspects were trailed to Abia State where the police arrested Mbogu
with the baby and brought her back to Yola, adding that the recovered baby had
been re-united to her parents while Ugwochuku was still at large.
The
command also paraded one Baba Adamu Idirisa, a 72 year-old man, who raped
a seven year old girl that was sent on an errand by her parent.
The CP said the suspect would be charged to court.
The command also paraded a 23 year old Ahijo Angarawe, a male, arrested for causing grievous hurt and resistance to arrest, constituting public nuisance and attempt to commit homicide at Vinikilang,. He was also wanted for allegedly being a drug dealer.

of items, including Indian hemp, knives and cutlasses were
recovered from him.Also, one Shehu Nalaide ,a male confessed robbing people in
their houses.
Similarly,the
command paraded one Abdullaziz Ahmadu ,29, and one Abubakar Salihu, 30 for
criminal conspiracy and theft of Toyota starlet.
The suspects were said to have drugged their victims by using yoghurt before stealing the car and took it to the Cameroun where they disposed it.

The C P
expressed gratitude to members of the public for volunterring useful
information to police which led to the arrest of these suspects.
