Islamic extremists, like fascists, must not be tolerated at any level

Mosque
Defeating Islamic extremism in Britain is as "vital" as dealing with the economy David Cameron has said.
The Prime Minister has strongly backed the views of Michael Gove, the education secretary as he
said the Government must "win" the argument with those who want tolerate all but the most violent extremists.
Comparing Islamic extremists to fascists, Mr Cameron said neither could be seen to be tolerated at any level.
Mr Gove has criticised the Home Office for failing to do enough to deal with the roots of extremism. Mr Gove said the Government should "drain the swamp" of extremism instead of "beating back the crocodiles" of terror down the line.
Mr Cameron used a speech at Policy Exchange's summer garden party, a think tank close co-founded by Mr Gove, to praise his "brilliant" home secretary, Theresa May but set out his support for Mr Gove's position on the issue.
