The General Owoeye Andrew Azazi Foundation (GOAAF) is  awarding academic scholarships  to some of the brightest and most promising but indigent students who have  financial set back  from
leaving primary six to Junior Secondary (JS) one, JS three to Senior Secondary (SS) one and SS three to  tertiary institutions.
Each scholar will receive a full academic scholarship which includes tuition, room and board per year for the duration of the academic career, at an accredited secondary or tertiary institution.
The Director of the foundation, Mrs. Akpo-Olade Okoro, in a statement, said  the applicants will be selected based on resident and indigenous students of Bayelsa State, successful completion of foundation scholarship examination scheduled to hold on August 16 at the Women’s Affairs Auditorium, Ovom, Yenagoa, as well as evidence of unmet financial need.
Once selected, she said, each scholar will be expected to maintain stated academic expectations in fulfilment of the requirements in order to keep the scholarship.
The GOAAF, founded in 2013, is a non-profit, private independent organisation dedicated to advancing the education of exceptionally promising Nigerian students who have financial challenge.  It seeks to raise leaders through scholarship and mentorship.
The foundation according to the statement, is inspired by the memory of the late General Owoye Andrew Azazi and his undying aspiration to contribute to the Nigerian youth.
“It is centred on a commitment to excellence while providing opportunity for the underprivileged. Since its inception to date, the foundation has a scholarship recipient currently studying at a Nigerian private university,” it stated.
