Gunmen Kill GM of Kaduna Based Newspaper

Unknown gunmen on Friday night, killed the General Manager of the Kaduna based The New Democrat newspaper, Malam Ustaz Yunus.
It was learnt that the gunmen stormed the Ungwan Dosa area residence of ‎the deceased in

Kaduna metropolis  just after prayers ending the Ramadan fasting at about 7:35pm.
Sources in the area said Yunus had finished the prayers in a nearby mosque  and  had just entered  his house to break the fast when the gunmen stormed the house and shot him   dead.

According to sources, no item was taken from the residence of the deceased as the assailants were said to have fled immediately  after shooting their victim.   

Confirming the incident, the spokesman of the Kaduna State Police Command, Aminu Lawal, an Assistant Superintendant of Police ( ASP) said investigations into the incident had commenced.
