Police blocked major routes around the premises of the House while every person entering the premises is being screened for weapons and other dangerous substance.
Non-Assembly staff, except pressmen, were allowed into the premises.
But the suspended lawmakers were also allowed into the Assembly premises.
Monday’s sitting is expected to commence at 1:00am.
Four members of the House of Assembly were suspended on June 9 for what the House described as misconduct, but the suspended members and five other members of the House held plenary on June 10, moved and adopted a motion for the suspension of the Speaker,Uyi Igbe, the Majority Leader, Philip Shaibu, and six others..
The House of Assembly, however, obtained restraining injunction on June 11 against the four suspended lawmakers from entering the Assembly premises.
Despite the court order, the suspended members insisted that they would be present on Monday’s plenary, a development that led to the presence of police officials at the premises of the Assembly.
The Police Commissioner said they did not seal up the premises but are taking precautionary measures against violence.
The Benin Monarch over the weekend cautioned politicians in the state to resolve their difference for the interest of peace and security in the state.
